about me

I am a third-year student at UNC Chapel Hill, majoring in Media and Journalism with a focus in Advertising and Public Relations and minoring in Conflict Management and Data Science. On campus, I am involved with the Club Softball Team and currently serve as the Philanthropy Chair of Chi Omega Fraternity.

Born and raised in Miami, I grew up surrounded by diverse cultures and perspectives, which shaped my passion for creativity and effective communication. Whether it's advertising, PR, or social media, I aim to create impactful and authentic connections that leave a lasting impression.

My name is Isabella Artiles.

Summer 2024

In my first two years of college, I can’t even tell you how much I heard the words “study abroad changed my life.” I always thought the statement was an exaggeration, but after spending 8 weeks in Barcelona, Spain this past summer, I can tell you it’s not. Over those two months, I was able to solidify a pretty strong friend group (which not only had its plethora of group chats, but yes we even gave ourselves a name). I learned what it meant to find your people. We decided to use one of our last weekends abroad to take one final trip together, and we chose to travel to Amsterdam. Did we probably consume too many Strupenwaffles? Yes. But, there seriously are no other people I would rather share this experience with, and I am so grateful to my study abroad experience.

Summer 2023

As you can probably tell if you’ve read this far, friendship is extremely important to me. I made this video last summer, the summer after our freshman year of college. My friend group spent every day we could together, and it was a summer to remember. Although we all attend different schools, my hometown friends have seen me grow up, been with me through some of the biggest chapters of my life, and just get me. I wanted to make a video capturing my favorite parts of Miami. To this day, I always make sure to point out the first three digits of my phone number. 305. (I know I’m lucky I didn’t get stuck with 786).
